MY STORY

I’m Kryss, welcome — To The Body Place

I’m a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance with over 1,000 hours of teaching experience across private sessions, group classes, workshops, retreats, festivals, and teacher trainings. My work is trauma-informed through advanced training with the Trauma Therapist Institute in Polyvagal Theory and C-PTSD, with a strong focus on nervous system education, embodiment, emotional safety, and sustainable healing practices. I’ve facilitated 200-hour yoga teacher trainings, led mindfulness and embodiment workshops, hosted day retreats, and held integration circles supporting people navigating trauma and psychedelic experiences.

I was also invited to speak at the first-ever Virtual Trauma Summit hosted by the Trauma Therapist Institute in 2024, where I supported in running the summit and presented on mindfulness, yoga for nervous system regulation, and guided meditation practices. Beyond traditional wellness spaces, I’ve held ceremonial space for plant medicine work and offered integration support rooted in compassionate care. The nervous system is something I genuinely love studying, teaching, and helping people understand because it changes the way we relate to stress, healing, relationships, and ourselves. We are all experts on our bodies.

STORY OF THE BODY PLACE

This work is personal To Me

I created The Body Place after witnessing how many people were moving through life deeply disconnected from themselves. Constantly performing, pushing through stress, abandoning their needs, or feeling unsafe in their own bodies. We live in a world that dehumanizes you for being different. So, I wanted to build something that felt human. A space that was not rooted in perfection, performance, or spiritual bypassing, but in honesty, embodiment, care, and real human connection. The Body Place exists to remind people that healing does not have to look polished to be meaningful, and that coming back to yourself can begin beautiful thing.

The image shows a mountain slope with trees, covered in patches of snow, under a sky filled with layered clouds illuminated by the setting or rising sun, creating a warm glow.

The Body Place is the heart of my work

I’m not here to sell a perfect version of healing or create experiences that feel disconnected from real life. I care about people feeling safe enough to soften, honest enough to be seen, and supported enough to reconnect with themselves in a genuine way. The Body Place blends trauma-informed care, nervous system education, embodiment, and yoga with real human connection. No performance. No pretending. Just grounded support that meets people where they are. The mission is for people to leave offerings feeling more connected to themselves, more regulated in their bodies, and more alive in their lives. This work matters deeply to me, and that care is felt in every body.
